A lay-out in honour of my mom

I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas. On one of the last days of 2012 I have another lay-out to share that I made with some lovely goodies from Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. This lay-out is a tribute to my mom. I have journaled on the backside about how much she means to me.

I used several items from my gorgeous Zeus & Zoe kit on this lay-out. The vintage buttons, the key, the piece of lace and the crown were all part of my Zeus & Zoe kit. Do you also notice the centers of my two flowers? I felt like something was missing and these gorgeous vintage buttons seemed to be the perfect finishing touch to them.

Thank you so much for looking!
I would like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and creative 2013!

Sparkle and Shine on the day before Christmas

Hi there! It's Romy here on the day before Christmas. I just love this time of the year and had some fun making a Christmas tag with my lovely vintage kit from Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. This tag is my example for the Sparkle & Shine challenge. You still have some time to play along for a chance to win a beautiful prize package. You can see all the details here. I have used glittered Webster's lace, glittered fussy cut hollies and a metallic button to add some sparkle to my tag.

The papers, the music note paper, the Webster's lace and the vintage button were all part of my gorgeous Zeus & Zoe kit. Take a look in the Etsy store for some more gorgeous goodies.

Have a very merry Christmas, you all!

Sparkle and Shine Christmas Tag

Hi Girls,

I have my second project for the month at Zeus and Zoe using some of the goodies from Marivic's vintage kit.

I decided to make a Christmas tag using one of the gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers available for purchase from the Zeus and Zoe Etsy Store, which I altered with a beautiful gold vintage button in the centre of the flower and then highlighted the petals with some gold stickles.  The glittered leaf came from a berry spray which I pulled apart which also came in my kit.

I used an extra large shipping tag which I coloured with pearlescent inks, then covered with some Websters and Bo Bunny pp's which I bordered with some gorgeous gold braid.  A gold bling flourish and some splashes of gold paint tied in with all the other elements for this month's sparkle and shine Christmas challenge... see HERE.  Even the stitched ribbon at the top of the tag was sprayed with gold mist.

"Sparkle and Shine" Christmas page.

Hi every one !! Wow the year is fast coming to a conclusion ! Gayle here again to share my second "Sparkle and Shine" project. I've done a pretty, clean and simple Christmas page, in the traditional colours of green, white and red, using a vintage Christmas image and highlighting the bunch of beautiful frosted and glittered berries and leaves from my Zeus and Zoe kit. I have only used about one quarter of the bunch and it is the perfect Christmas embellishment.

I've also used some crystal bling and sparkly Kindy Glitz. The details on how to play along with our December "Sparkle and Shine" Challenge, ( and the fantastic prizes up for grabs) can be found HERE.

A kit made up of beautiful embellishments from Marivic's Etsy Shop would make a fabulous Christmas gift for a creative friend, so pop over HERE to have a little look.
As this is my last post for this year, I would like to thank you all for visiting us at Zeus and Zoe and for playing along with our challenges, as well as a very happy, safe and joyous Christmas. xx

Christmas Ornament

Hello ! A very happy December greeting to you all. Gayle here, sharing my "Shine and Sparkle" creation. I've made a table or mantlepiece decoration, from the FLOWERS, PAPERS and PEARLS in my ZEUS AND ZOE KIT.

It started out as a "foam ball". I covered it in tiny squares of Christmas paper from my Zeus and Zoe kit. It was then sprayed with  Glimmer Mist and then, for a bit of extra shine, I gave it a coat of pearlescent paint.

The top is covered with embossed paper which was painted silver and then a little "Rub & Buff" added. The crowning glory is a gorgeous white and gold Poinsettia flower from my Zeus and Zoe kit. I've used one on the top and another on the base.

A jewelled pin to hold the banner, another crystal dangling off the ball, some gorgeous pearls from my Zeus and Zoe kit and then I've set it on a doily with some supporting card underneath.

I hope this will inspire you to join in our December "Shine and Sparkle" Challenge. Find all the details HERE.

Shine and Sparkle challenge lo!

Hi everyone! Sandi here. Today I am delighted to share a Christmas lo that I did for our latest Shine and Sparkle challenge! What a fun challenge! Since my style tends to be the minimalist, I decided that three spots of sparkle and shine was the perfect amount to have on the page to add to the holiday sparkle, yet keeping the attention on my subject which is my dd's expression that was caught last Christmas.

Isn't that background paper perfect! Yes, that, the sparkle, vintage postcard, strips of text, and felt star all came from my fabulous Zeus and Zoe kit. And right now, you can request your own custom kit from Marivic! We invite you to visit our Zeus and Zoe Etsy shop, where you can browse all the yummy goodies, that could be added to your kit!

Please be sure to stop back soon for more DT inspiration!

December Challenge - Shine and Sparkle

Hi everyone, Cathy here.  It's the 1st of the month which means a new challenge for Zeus and Zoe.  As Christmas is almost upon us I have decided on a Christmas Challenge...   Here are the details.

For this month's challenge I have made it very simple.  I would like to see a Christmas project with at least 3 elements that sparkle and shine… they can be 3 of the same type of elements or 3 different elements as long as you have at least 3 sparkle and shine elements on your creation.

This could be anything metallic and shiny… think recycled jewellery, gold or silver buttons, charms, foil paper metallic inks or embossing powders just to name a few... or sparkle and bling elements like glitter and rhinestones.

All is Bright

Well I went a bit crazy the with sparkle and shine elements on my Christmas LO.  In my fabulous Zeus and Zoe vintage kit were some lovely glittered berries, silver foil doilies, flower button with a bling centre, silver pearl trim and an aqua crochet doily, which I used in my layered details.

Some of the other sparkle and shine items I used were glitter pattern paper, Glimmer mist, metal and crystal charms, aqua and gold acrylic flowers, Kaisercraft rhinestones and sparklets.

Silver Pearl Trim from Zeus and Zoe Kit
Glittered Berry Branches and Silver Foil Doilies from Vintage Kit
Aqua Crochet Doily which came in my kit

Romy's first lay-out for Zeus & Zoe

Good morning! It's Romy here and I'm really excited to show you my first lay-out for Zeus & Zoe. Marivic has sent me a gorgeous vintage kit with lots of beautiful embellishments. I used some of these beautiful scrapbook treasures to make this lay-out about me and my dad. I titled it 'My dad my hero', as - even at the age of 19 - I still feel like daddy's little girl. He is always there for me and willing to help, support and stimulate me with everything that I do.

For my embellishment cluster I used several items from my Zeus & Zoe vintage kit: the green flower, the chipboard key, the cameo, the lace and the sparkling vine in the left upper corner. I used embossing powder to give my chipboard key this whitewashed look.

Do you love these vintage treasures as much as I do? You can put together your own vintage kit in the Zeus & Zoe Etsy store, where you will find lots and lots of gorgeous embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek! Be sure to stop by again on Thursday, when I will post my example for the November banner challenge.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Friends

Hi Girls,

I am back with my 2nd project for the month using some of the gorgeous items from my Zeus and Zoe vintage kit.
For this project I decided to create a canvas to give to my sister for her upcoming birthday in January.  I started by altering my canvas background with gesso, glimmermist and a mesh stencil which I masked with some old gold Viva Inka Gold paste.  I then added some gorgeous vintage lace to the corners which was in my kit.

My kit also had some beautiful pp and an envelope from which I fussy cut the floral elements.  I layered the flowers with a crochet doily, some lace ribbon, vintage buttons and heart and key charms and  finished off with a few rubons, some paper roses and a glittered chipboard title.

vintage buttons, crochet doily, lace, charms from vintage kit
pattern paper and envelope from kit

Don't forget to check out Marivic's Etsy Store to see all her gorgeous goodies.. she can also make kits to order.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Every Day Dresses

Hello again, Gayle here. Time to share another page made with some of the beautiful, eclectic bits and pieces that were in my Zeus and Zoe kit that Marivic sent me. Again, it has a vintage theme based on an old book page. It's titled, "Every-Day Dresses" ! It made me laugh, if you look at the extravagance of the dresses you could hardly call them "every-day"! Anyway I've followed a fashion theme and used 'dress forms' and lacy, flowery and embossed papers.

Also in my kit was this flower and beautiful gold framed gem; originally a button I think, but a perfect match for these papers.

There was also a part of a 'metal pendant bracelet' (love this), which has become a part of my banner........REMEMBER TO JOIN IN THE NOVEMBER BANNER CHALLENGE ! DETAILS HERE.

There was also this gorgeous piece of embossed 'sparkly' paper in my kit, with Pansies and Forget Me Nots on it; amazing ! I'm not usually a fan of 'glittery' papers; I hate how the glitter gets every where, but this paper wasn't like that. The shiny stuff was sort of ' melted' right into the paper, not just sitting on the top. I,ve also used a piece of 7 Dots Paper, plain white cardstock that I've dry embossed then coloured. Also some water-colour stamping and stencilling.

If you're looking for something a little different and unusual to use on your creations visit the Zeus and Zoe Etsy Shop where Marivic will make up a kit for you.
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you all have a great weekend.
